How to Delete Pages From a PDF
Quick answer
On Mac, open the PDF in Preview, select the page thumbnail, press Delete and save. On iPhone, long-press a page thumbnail in the Files app and choose Delete. On Windows, print to PDF with only the pages you want to keep (e.g. 1-4, 6-10), or use an online 'delete pages' tool.
Mac (Preview)
- View > Thumbnails.
- Select the page(s) to remove (Cmd+click for several).
- Press Delete.
- File > Save (or Export as PDF for a new file).
iPhone and iPad
In Files, open the PDF, show thumbnails, long-press a page > Delete.
Windows (free)
Print to PDF, keeping only the pages you want:
- Open the PDF in Chrome or Edge > Ctrl+P.
- Destination: Save as PDF.
- Pages > Custom: list the pages to keep, e.g.
1-4, 6-10removes page 5.
Or use an online “delete PDF pages” tool, where you click the pages to remove.
Adobe Acrobat Pro
Tools > Organize Pages > select > trash icon > Save.

Is a deleted page really gone from the file?
When you use Save As or Export to create a new file, yes. Some editors save incrementally and may keep old data inside. Save to a new file name to be safe.
